SWAT standoff at St. Paul apartment complex ends with 2 in custody
Two people were arrested Sunday evening after St. Paul police say an armed man made threats towards officers.
Police say they were called to an apartment in the South St. Anthony Park neighborhood around 6:40 p.m. to check on an argument. Once they arrived to the 2400 block of Territorial Road, officers asked a man and a woman to leave their apartment.
Officials say officers believed the man was armed, and made threats towards them. This let to SWAT being called to the scene.
The woman was taken into custody just after 8 p.m. The man was taken into custody shortly before 10 p.m.
Police are still investigating.
