Survey Finds How Today's H.S. Students Measure Future Success

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Today's high school students are putting the pressure on themselves when it comes to measuring success.

According to a new survey by Career Builder, high school students think they'll need to earn more than current employees to consider themselves successful.

Eighteen percent of them say they'd be OK earning less than $50,000 a year.

That compares with 25 percent of current workers who would by okay with that salary.

More than a fifth of high school students think $100,000 to $150,000 a year would be ideal.

Fifteen percent of current workers target that salary as a measure of success.
