Superior Student Arrested After Guns Found On School Grounds

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Superior police say a 17-year-old high school student was arrested after unloaded guns were found in a vehicle on school property.

The vehicle was found around 9 a.m. Thursday on Superior High School property. The boy, who attends the school, was using the vehicle. Several firearms were found uncased in the back seat.

Police say the guns were not brought into any of the buildings but were on school property.

The student was taken to Douglas County Jail on suspicion of possessing a firearm in a school zone, a felony.

Police call it an isolated incident.
