Sunday's Fair Attendance Marks 5th Single-Day Record Of 2019

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Yet another attendance record was broken Sunday at the Minnesota State Fair.

Walk through the fairgrounds can feel like the friendliest traffic jam in Minnesota, one that doesn't to be thinning anytime soon.

In 2018, a record 2,046,533 people punched their tickets to the Great Minnesota Get Together, or roughly the same number of cookies stuffed in a Sweet Martha's bucket.

But Sunday's visitor tally hit 245,243 people, beating the previous record of 242,759 set in 2017. The record was the fifth single-day record set in 2019. The first Thursday and Friday were also record breaking days.

Monday marks the last day of the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
