Suburban Spotlight: Augustyniak Visits Lake Elmo

LAKE ELMO, Minn. (WCCO) -- This week we're shining a spotlight on our Twin Cities suburbs. First up is Mike Augustyniak.

Last week we all threw darts at a map of the metro and Augustyniak's landed far to the east -- in Washington County and Lake Elmo.

Lake Elmo is home to a little more than 8,000 people. And it's growing -- they saw an 18 percent population growth since 2000.

It's the home of one of the few drive-ins left in the state, the Vali-Hi. But it's also a fairly rural town, which is why you told us to check out Hagberg's Country Market -- the meat place for more than 65 years.

Watch the video above to see Augustyniak's tour through Lake Elmo.
