Study: Sleep As Important As Nutrition, Exercise For Food Health

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A new study finds that sleep is just as important for food health as nutrition or exercise.

The American Thoracic Society said most adults should be getting seven to nine hours a night.

Researchers said a lack of sleep can lead to heart and lung problems, as well as hypertension, pre-diabetes and even depression.

But, another recent study shows that a third of people 18 and older said they sleep six hours or less a night.
