Stolen Kittens Returned To Wisconsin Shelter

SLINGER, Wis. (AP) — Two kittens have been returned to a Milwaukee-area animal shelter after someone snatched them last week.

The Washington County Humane Society said Wednesday it's glad to have Chicken Nugget and Big Mac back at the shelter. The 3-month-old kittens were taken when a cage was accidentally left unlocked and unsupervised. The kittens were being treated for roundworms before they were taken.

Community relations director Deb Block says the humane society received a message Tuesday night after the animals' pictures appeared on television. An anonymous caller reported knowing their location. The person dropped the kittens off Wednesday afternoon with no questions asked.
