Stillwater Implements "Food For Fines" Program For Month Of March

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- During the month of March, Stillwater's new "Food for Fines" program may just make you feel good about getting a parking ticket.

Rather than paying a $15 fine, motorists can pay with 10 non-perishable food items, according to the Stillwater Gazette. It's a way to help the urgent need for food at the Valley Outreach food shelf.

Fined motorists will have 10 days to bring your food to Stillwater City Hall or you'll get a ticket in the mail.
