Sheriff: Body Found Inside Burning Car Near Owatonna
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after the body of an adult male was found inside a burning car near Owatonna Sunday night.
The Steele County Sheriff's Office and Owatonna Fire Department were called at about 6:33 p.m. to suspicious activity on the 2000 block of NW 52nd Ave. When authorities arrived, they located a vehicle on fire in a rural farm field just west of Owatonna.
Crews put the fire out, and authorities found the body of an adult male inside the vehicle. The man has not been identified, and the investigation of his death is ongoing. The vehicle was a total loss.
The incident is under investigation by the Steele County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies.
