State Patrol: Wrong-Way Driver Hits Vehicle, Rolls In Golden Valley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Alcohol played a factor in a wrong-way crash on Highway 100 in Golden Valley early Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at about 3:07 a.m. when a driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Hwy 100 near Duluth Street.

The driver, suspected of driving drunk, hit another vehicle and rolled. A Hennepin County Medical Center ambulance witnessed the accident and transported both drivers to the hospital.

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries. A blood draw was taken from the wrong-way driver at the scene.

The state patrol is investigating.
