State Patrol: Litchfield Mom Killed In Crash; Dad, 2 Kids Seriously Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A mother is dead and five others -- including her husband and two children -- are seriously injured after a crash Friday night on a west metro highway.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Dodge Charger drove through a stop sign and broadsided a Dodge Magnum on Highway 12 at County Road 14 at about 11:38 p.m. in Darwin.

A 36-year-old passenger in the Magnum, from Litchfield, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the Magnum, 35-year-old Billy Crottier of Litchfield, and two child passengers -- ages 3 and 7 -- suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the Charger, 28-year-old Noelle Pridgen of Brandon, Florida, and her passenger -- 20-year-old Tamya Hill of Kittery, Maine -- also suffered serious injuries.

The State Patrol identified the 36-year-old woman Sunday as Christina L. Crottier of Litchfield.

The 36-year-old victim has not been identified. The state patrol is investigating.
