1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Polk County Rollover Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- At least one person was killed in a rollover crash in Polk County Friday morning.

According to the State Patrol, a 1995 Ford Escort crashed near the intersections of County Roads 17 and 13 in Crookston, Minnesota.

Investigators said the vehicle was heading east on County Road 13 and hit a curve in the road. The vehicle over-corrected and caught the shoulder, running off the road and rolling several times.

There were two people in the vehicle. Nineteen-year-old Cody Piche of Erskine was killed in the crash, and 33-year-old Martin Kingbird, of East Grand Forks, was seriously injured.
