State Patrol ID's Driver Killed In Crash Near Hasty

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have identified the 44-year-old driver who died in a multivehicle crash caused by icy road conditions on Interstate 94 in central Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Holly Hoglund Klein of Maple Grove was killed after a semitrailer struck several vehicles, which then struck other cars. At least two other drivers suffered injuries that aren't considered life-threatening in the seven-vehicle pileup.

The interstate was closed in both directions for several hours after the Tuesday morning crash just west of Hasty. The freeway has since reopened.

The St. Cloud Times says Tuesday's winter storm brought the most snow central Minnesota has seen since November.

The State Patrol reported 250 crashes and nearly 30 vehicles that slid off roads or spun out by midafternoon.
