State Patrol Honors Good Samaritan Who Helped Save Semi Driver

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Worthington man is being hailed a hero for helping save another man's life after a fiery crash.

Paul Langseth and his wife were on their way to the State Fair on Monday when they were stopped for a funeral procession in Windom earlier this week.

That's when a semi slammed into another semi that was stopped and burst into flames.

The State Patrol says Langseth helped a trooper rescue the driver as the flames spread into the cab.

"The Good Samaritan in Luke 10, he just met the needs of what needed to do at the time and that's part of Minnesota," Langseth said as he was being honored by the State Patrol.

The semi driver was hurt in the crash, but is now recovering at home.
