State Patrol: Alcohol A Factor In Fatal Marshall Co. Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol played a factor in a fatal head-on crash Saturday afternoon.

Twenty-five-year-old Cory Ingeman, of Karlstad, crossed the center lane in his pickup truck, colliding head-on with a van on Highway 1 in Marshall County at about 12:42 p.m. Initial reports say alcohol was detected on Ingeman.

The van's driver, 31-year-old Rachel Houle, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital. Houle is from Warren.

Houle's 49-year-old passenger, a Fergus Falls man, was killed. His identity has not been released

The state patrol is investigating.
