State Patrol: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Chisago County Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was killed and another was hurt in a rollover crash in Chisago County Tuesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 9:25 p.m. on Highway 35 near Stark Road, which is north of North Branch. When officers arrived, a 1997 Toyota Camry had been traveling southbound in the left lane, veered into the right lane and over-corrected. It caused the car to roll over into the ditch, killing a passenger and injuring the driver.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Sao Vang, 74, of Stacy. The driver, also 74 of stacy, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

What led up to the crash is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol with assistance from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office and North Branch police.
