State Patrol: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Chisago County Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was killed and another was hurt in a rollover crash Tuesday night in Chisago County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 8:46 p.m. on southbound Interstate 35 near North Branch. According to the State Patrol, a 1994 Chevy pick-up truck was heading southbound when it began to drift off the roadway, went into the right side ditch and rolled.

The State Patrol said the driver of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene. A 57-year-old man riding in the truck with the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the victim has not been released. The crash is under investigation by the State Patrol with assistance from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office and North Branch Police Department.
