Auditions Begin For Minnesota State Fair Talent Show

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Great Minnesota Get Together is set to begin in just about a month, and the search is on for performers to take part in this year's talent contest.

Musicians, dancers, singers and comedians of all ages tried out for a spot in the show Monday night.

Auditions continue through Sunday and 120 acts will be chosen to perform during the semifinals. Then, finalists will advance to the Grandstand Stage on Sept. 4.

Those interested in auditioning should head to the Leinie Lodge Bandshell at the fairgrounds.

Auditions will run through Sunday. They start at 5:30 p.m. during the week and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This year's grand prize is $10,000.
