State Fair Brings Attractions To Senior Living Community

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you can't go to the State Fair, what's better than having the State Fair come to you? That's what happened at Boutwell's Landing senior living community in Oak Park Heights Friday.

Residents played carnival games and ate State Fair food on a stick, as well as Sweet Martha's cookies. Our own Pat Kessler was there, too, with WCCO Radio's Dave Lee, talking... lutefisk?

"I grew up with lutefisk, so I wasn't going to have it more than once," Dave Lee said.

By the way, at the State Fair this year you can visit the Wiser Living Exhibit -- it showcases new ways for seniors to live more independently.
