2nd Fair Weekend Off To Record-Breaking Start
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The 2016 Minnesota State Fair continues to break daily attendance records.
On Friday, 182,926 attended the Great Minnesota Get-Together. This is the second daily attendance record broken this year. On the Fair's second day, 141,023 people attended.
Last year, the Fair's second Friday saw 159,639 walk through the gates.
Saturday's attendance was 260,374, the most in a single day so far this year. That attendance number also broke the daily record, previously set in 2014 with 252,092 people.
The all-time total attendance record is 1,824,830, set in 2014. With Sunday and Monday left, attendance is about 300,00 short of that record.
