St. Paul's Como Conservatory Turns 100
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — St. Paul's Como Conservatory celebrates its centennial this weekend with music, poetry and wedding vow renewals.
The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory opened for the first time on Nov. 7, 1915.
Over the last 100 years, the conservatory has been a popular spot for weddings. The conservatory is inviting all couples — whether they were married there or not — to a special vow renewal ceremony Saturday at 10 a.m. A retired judge will preside over couples wishing to renew their vows.
A free "Music Under Glass" concert will be held Saturday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the conservatory will open two hours early, at 8 a.m., so photographers can take pictures of the gardens.
A poetry reading will be held Sunday from 2-3 p.m. Anniversary cake will be served all weekend.
