St. Paul Votes To Raise Tobacco Buying Age To 21

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Paul has become the latest Minnesota city to raise the tobacco buying age to 21.

The city council voted to raise the age from 18 Wednesday night, and also voted to ban the sale of all flavored tobacco, including menthol.

St. Paul is the fifth community this week alone to pass these laws, It's the 53rd city statewide.

The ordinance takes effect 30 days after its approval and publication.
