St. Paul Saints To Hold Open Tryouts At New Ballpark

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The St. Paul Saints will hold open tryouts for the first time in their new ballpark.

The tryout will be held Thursday at CHS Field in St. Paul's Lowertown area.

The Saints hold an open tryout every year. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the front gate of the ballpark located on Broadway Street., with the tryout beginning at 10 a.m.

Each person showing up should come in baseball attire and cleats and bring their own glove. Position players need to bring a wooden bat.

All participants can showcase their talents at only one position. If the tryout is rained out it will be rescheduled for the next day, Friday, at 10 a.m.

The Saints begin play in their new ballpark May 21 against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
