Police: Missing 7-Month-Old Girl Chanelle Jaliyah Jones Located 'Unharmed'; Jamal Jones Still On The Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police say missing 7-month-old girl Chanelle Jaliyah Jones has been located.

Police say an unknown male dropped Chanelle off at North Memorial Health Urgent Care in Minnetonka just before 6 p.m. Thursday. Chanelle's mother positively identified her via photo, before they were reunited at Children's Minnesota in St. Paul. Police say Chanelle was "unharmed."

She went missing earlier Thursday after police say her father, Jamal Lamarr Jones, assaulted her mother.

St. Paul police originally announced that Jamal had been arrested just before 3 p.m. in Minneapolis by Metro Transit police. But about 90 minutes later, they re-issued a missing person alert for Chanelle, saying the man arrested wasn't actually Jamal.

He is still at large, and is wanted by police for domestic assault and stalking.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call St. Paul Police at 651-291-1111.
