St. Paul officials ID homicide victim as Randall Williams, 37; suspect detained

Police investigate St. Paul stabbing

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Police in St. Paul are investigating after a man was found dead on Friday morning.

Authorities say the homicide happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of Iglehart Avenue. 

The man had been stabbed in the chest right outside the door to the residence. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. On Monday, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 37-year-old Randall Williams, of St. Paul.

Police do not believe there to be a threat to public safety.

A suspect has been detained for questioning. Police do not think the homeowner was involved with the stabbing.
