St. Paul Police Investigating Body Found In Burning Car

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- St. Paul Police say they're investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered in a burning car Saturday evening.

Police say they were called to a car fire on the 1000 block of Westminster Street at about 6 p.m. and found the body inside when they arrived on scene.

Investigators are currently processing the car and the nearby area as a crime scene, noting that it's not clear yet how exactly the person died. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the cause of death and identity of the deceased.

Police say they'll release more information on the case as it becomes available.
