St. Paul Police Investigating After 1 Killed In Saturday Morning Shooting

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities in St. Paul are investigating after a woman was killed in a shooting early Saturday morning.

According to St. Paul Police, officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 100 block of Larpenter Avenue W. There, authorities say a large fight consisting of around 50 people was taking place in a parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers saw vehicles leaving and found no one with injuries.

A short time later, Ramsey County deputies stopped a speeding vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. Police say inside the car deputies found an adult woman with a gunshot wound to her head. Officials began first aid but the victim was declared dead at the scene when paramedics arrived.

At this time, police believe the deceased individual was the only one injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
