St. Paul Police Investigate Shooting In Shadow Falls Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead after a shooting in St. Paul late Friday evening.

According to St. Paul Police, around 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a call of a robbery in the area of Summit Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police found one man dead of apparent gunshot wounds in Shadow Falls Park by the river.

Police said officers think two suspects tried to rob two adults in the area. During the attempt, one of the suspects was then shot.

"What I can tell you is that a male subject, he was with a female and they were having a conversation at the time that the robbery call came in," Sergeant Paul Paulos said.

Investigators are looking into the incident and police said they are questioning the two adults.

They are still searching for the second suspect.
