Man Shot Dead Inside East St. Paul Auto Body Shop
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police say a man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in an east side auto body shop.
Officers were called to the business on the 1300 block of Arcade Street just after 3:30 p.m., where they found the victim suffering for several gunshot wounds. Despite live-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators don't believe the shooting was random, and they're asking for anyone who was in the area between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to call police at 651-266-5650. They are also looking for surveillance video from homes and businesses in the area.
Police say there have been nine service calls to this shop so far this year, with the last one earlier this month.
This is the city's ninth homicide of 2021.
