Police: Two Shot Dead At St. Paul Motel

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police are seeking suspects in a shooting that left two men dead Tuesday night.

According to St. Paul police, around 9: 45 p.m. officers received a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the Midway Motel on the 900 block of Snelling Avenue North, just south of the State Fairgrounds.

Upon arrival, police found one man dead in the entry to one of the rooms, and another man dead a short distance from the motel.

Investigators believe one of the victims may have been running from the shooter.

"It's a big crime scene and it expands beyond the footprint of the motel property. It's all one incident but it's actually a little bit bigger than the actual footprint of the actual motel itself," St. Paul Police Cmdr. Steve Frazer said.

Police do believe the suspects knew the victims. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department.
