Police investigate deadly shooting in St. Paul

Police in St. Paul are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Police say they were called to the 1500 block of Edmund Avenue on reports that a person had been shot. When officers arrived, they found two adults, one male and one female, both suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Officers gave the two adults aid while waiting for medics to arrive. Once medics were on scene, they transported both victims to a local hospital. The man later died at the hospital. Officers say the woman is still in critical condition.

Police say the took the suspect, an adult male, was taken into custody. 

St. Paul Police say this is the third homicide of the year.
