St. Paul Gears Up For Cinco De Mayo Festivities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's not the Minnesota Wild that people will just be celebrating this upcoming first weekend of May in St. Paul.

Cinco De Mayo Celebrations will fill the streets of St. Paul's west side. Click here for a full schedule of events.

Among the highlights are the parade at 10 a.m., a jalapeno eating contest at 2 and 4 p.m., and Minnesota United FC soccer clinics.

The grand marshal for this year's parade in West St. Paul will be Santino Franco. He and his wife of 20 years raised their family of four on the West Side with their two oldest also graduating from Humboldt High School.
