St. Cloud Man Charged With Stalking, Lewdness

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have charged a St. Cloud man who they say put his finger in the mouth of a 3-year-old girl at the city library and asked her to come home with him.

Lawrence Danzl was charged Monday in Stearns County court with a felony count of stalking a victim under age 18 with sexual or aggressive intent. He also is charged with a gross misdemeanor count of indecent exposure or lewdness.

Police say the 66-year-old admitted to offering money to two other children at the St. Cloud Public Library on Friday. They say he admitted he had done similar things on city buses and had sexual thoughts about children.

Police say he had no sexual contact with children at the library.

He is being held on $150,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
