St. Anthony Family Escapes House Fire Unharmed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in central Minnesota say a St. Anthony family with three children was able to escape a house fire unharmed early Sunday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it got a call just after 6 a.m. about a fire on the 24000 block of County Road 38.

When crews got to the scene, they found a house fully engulfed in flames.

The homeowners were able to get out of the house safely, and crews from the Freeport and Albany fire departments knocked down the flames.

The house sustained severe damage and the garage was burned to the foundation, the sheriff's office said.

The fire is believed to have started in the garage before spreading to the house.
