Officials: Sprinklers Save Car Fire From Spreading To Building In Shakopee

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Officials say sprinklers saved a Twin Cities business from being destroyed by an overnight fire.

It happened just after 10 p.m. Friday in Shakopee.

The Shakopee Fire Department says a car was on fire inside a business on Industrial Circle.

Sprinklers stopped the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

Officials say if not for the sprinklers, the fire likely would have destroyed the business and others nearby.

No one was hurt.
