Spill The Wine Closing After Eight Years

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - After eight years, Minneapolis restaurant Spill the Wine is mopping up and shutting down.

The Uptown wine bar announced on its Facebook page Tuesday that it is closing doors.

A new restaurant, called Tinto Cocina + Cantina, will open soon at the 901 W Lake St location.

"We are very grateful for the 8 year run we had [and] the friends and family we have made," read a statement on the restaurant's Facebook page. We "couldn't have had the success we did without all of our fans and community."

Support from patrons poured in on Facebook.

"This makes me so sad," one customer wrote. "However, I will never ever forget the countless dinners, brunches, happy hours and fabulous occasions, including my wedding, that were held at your incredible restaurant!"
