Police: Man Shot Overnight In South Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man suffered a gunshot wound early Sunday after police say shots were fired in south Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department says shots were reported shortly after midnight near the intersection of Lake Street East and 4th Avenue South in the city's Phillips neighborhood.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Emergency crews brought the victim to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

No arrests have been made. Police say they do not have a suspect description to release.
