Snow Tuesday Could Make For Messy Morning Commute

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We got our first taste of winter last week, and it appears we'll get a second dose just before settling in for Thanksgiving.

If you're heading to work Tuesday morning, take your time and have some patience. WCCO Meteorologist Matt Brickman says a system will arrive to the Twin Cities by the morning rush hour that could be rain, sleet or snow depending on where you are and the temperature.

A rain/snow mix is expected in the metro, and it will eventually change over to snow in the Twin Cities and north metro throughout Tuesday. Brickman says it's likely the morning commute will be dangerous.

Snow will continue Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. So how much will fall? Brickman says the Twin Cities could see between one and three inches, with three to six inches further north in areas including St. Cloud and Brainerd.

Things calm down for Thanksgiving before another chance for some snow on Friday.
