Condition upgraded for skater injured during Disney on Ice performance in Minneapolis

Skater's condition improves after injury during Disney on Ice Minneapolis performance

MINNEAPOLIS — A skater injured during a performance of Disney On Ice at the Target Center over the weekend has had her condition upgraded.

A statement released by Disney On Ice Minneapolis said the skater portraying Belle was injured Saturday at Target Center while performing a lift during the routines. She was taken to Hennepin Healthcare in critical condition. A couple days later, her condition was upgraded to serious.

Then, on Friday, the hospital confirmed her condition is now satisfactory. It is unknown if she'll be released from the hospital any time soon.

The company thanked fans who sent the skater well wishes and said the remaining shows would go on as planned. Sunday was the final day of performances at Target Center.
