BCA: Missing Children Found Safe, Mother In Custody

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) says two kids are safe after they went missing along with their mother, who does not have custody.

Investigators say Michelle Siegert, 29, recently took her two children -- Ally Heyde, 12, and Ashton Heyde, 10 -- from their Chippewa Falls home. Police say the children went willingly with her.

Siegert had a warrant out for her arrest in a separate case. She was taken into custody Thursday night after the two children were found in River Falls.
