Showcase Gives Tips On Updating Your Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you've ever gone for a big change in your home décor, you know it can be overwhelming.

From colors to design and fabrics it can be stressful making improvements to your home, but some of the top interior designers are giving us some great ideas to help you with that. The ASID Showcase features model homes with some of the latest ideas on giving your house a facelift.

When people think home renovation or decorating, it's often stressful because of the expenses that can be involved. But we got some tips for updating your home that won't break the bank.

Keri Olson, an interior designer, was on the WCCO This Morning show on Monday to talk about some of those ideas. She said if you want to make your kitchen look more updated, try changing some light fixtures, finding an affordable new countertop or investigating in a backsplash. You can also get a lot of value for your kitchen with updated cabinets and window treatments.

The ASID Home Showcase is Wednesday through Sunday every week through June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
