Shevlin Pastor Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting 2 Boys

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Clearwater County jury has found a Shevlin, Minnesota pastor guilty of multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct, the county's attorney's office announced.

On Wednesday, the jury found Pastor Scott Morey guilty of 13 of 14 counts. The convictions include first-, second- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was acquitted of one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

All of the convictions are related to his conduct against two minor children, the attorney's office said.

After the verdict, the District Court Judge Eric Schieferdecker revoked Morey's bail, remanded him into custody of the Clearwater County Sheriff, order a pre-sentence investigation and set a sentencing hearing for May 25, 2016.
