Sheriff: RV Owners Not Suspects In Anoka Man's Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said the owners of an RV that was rented to a group who found a dead body inside are not considered suspects in the man's death.

A group renting the RV was headed to the Kentucky Derby for a bachelor party and stopped in Winona to pick up some friends. That's when the group noticed a foul odor coming from the RV and eventually found the body of Kevin Casserly in an exterior storage bin. Casserly, 22, had been missing since last November.

Authorities have not released Casserly's cause of death, but the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said the owners of the RV are cooperating with the investigation and are not considered suspects at this time. The case remains under investigation.
