Sheriff: Park Rapids Man, 19, Dies After Being Pinned By SUV

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 19-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, the accident was reported at 6:25 a.m. Saturday on 190th Street, one mile northwest of Park Rapids.

When emergency responders arrived, they found a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe upside down and on its roof. Pinned underneath the vehicle was a victim identified as Avery Mikel of Park Rapids.

Mikel was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
