Sheriff: Motorcyclist Dies After Losing Control, Crashing In Western Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in western Wisconsin say a 39-year-old man died early Sunday morning after being thrown from his motorcycle.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office said Jason Thomas Anderson, of Somerset, Wis., lost control of his Harley Davidson shortly before 1 a.m. on eastbound STH 35/64.

Investigators say Anderson was taking the exit ramp to Somerset when he lost control of his motorcycle, entered a ditch and was thrown from the vehicle.

An emergency helicopter responded to the crash, but Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.

Officials say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
