Sheriff: Man Killed In 1-Car Crash In Scandia

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man from Scandia was found dead after a fiery car crash Sunday night north of the Twin Cities, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities were called at about 9:45 p.m. to a single car crash where the car was on fire on the 12000 block of 228th Street North in Scandia. When officers arrived, the lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by authorities as William St. Sauver Jr. of Scandia.

Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Minnesota State Patrol and Scandia Fire and Rescue. What led up to the crash is still under investigation.
