Sheriff: Man Dies After Being Thrown From Truck On Chisago County Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man died early Sunday morning after being thrown from a pick-up truck coming off a Chisago County lake and a driver has been arrested for being under the influence of alcohol, authorities say.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office responded at about 1:58 a.m. Sunday to a report that a man had been thrown from a truck driving off Neander Lake in Fish Lake Township. While officers were responding, people at the scene were attempting CPR on the man.

Emergency responders came to assist, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by authorities as Bradley Michael Nugent.

An investigation showed a man identified as Keith Thomas Watts was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident and was under the influence of alcohol at the time. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide.

The incident remains under investigation.
