Sheriff: Man In Custody After Barricading Himself In Brooklyn Center Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man barricaded himself inside a Brooklyn Center home Thursday afternoon, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

Daniel Kurt Vernier, 32, was arrested and taken into custody shortly after 4:30 p.m.

According to police, the Hennepin County Sheriff and Brooklyn Center police attempted to arrest Vernier, who was wanted on multiple felony charges.

They located Vernier in a home in the 600 block of Aldrich Avenue.

Upon their arrival, Vernier barricaded himself inside the home with another individual.

Police said Vernier and the other individual came out of the house shortly after 4:30 p.m. and police arrested Vernier.
