Sheriff: Man, 81, Dies In Hubbard County Tractor Rollover Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) --  An 81-year-old man from northern Minnesota died Tuesday after the tractor he was driving rolled over and pinned him underneath, according to the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities received a report of the crash at about 6 p.m. just south of Nevis off 184th Street. When officers arrived, the man was pinned underneath the tractor and unresponsive. First responders tried to give medical attention to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as Jack Karnowski of Nevis. Authorities say he was operating his Ford tractor on a trail and going downhill when it veered into a steep embankment and overturned.

The accident remains under investigation by the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office.
