Sheriff: Home Burglary Suspect Tasered, Arrested In Crow Wing County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 32-year-old Blaine man was arrested Sunday after assaulting a home owner during an attempted burglary and being combative with authorities, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities received a call at about 6:26 a.m. Sunday from a woman who said the suspect was trying to break into her home. The woman's husband went out to confront the man, and the suspect assaulted him.

When officers got to the scene, the suspect, identified as Joshua Richard Wallace, refused to listen to demands from authorities. A sheriff's deputy then used a Taser on Wallace and subdued him before he was taken into custody.

Authorities said Wallace was uncooperative and combative with officers. He was arrested for burglary, fifth-degree assault, damage to property and obstructing the legal process.
